Frank embodies the true Peabody Spirit, putting the team first and doing whatever it takes to make us look great. He has been doing this for 25 years, quietly doing a great job and helping make us better each and every day.

Frank has stepped in and learned the mechanical aspects of the new machines and has given good insight making the installs run smooth. He has helped the Rotoline technician a lot. Stepping up and filling in for Tom as machine mechanic has allowed little to no delay on the more mechanical aspects to the new machines. Because of his help the machines are being installed faster – Thanks for the help!!!

Frank Avila
I would like to take this opportunity to nominate Frank Avila. Frank has contributed an extraordinary amount of time in the intricate assembly of all the parts to build the new machines. Frank also has exhibited his amazing electrical and mechanical talents during the installation from ground zero to completion. I appreciate his enthusiastic dedication to the Peabody’s success. He defines the definition what going the extra mile means.

He is quiet but he is mighty! He is truly an exceptional mechanic who for this past month has put his abilities to excellent use by helping to build the 2 new rotational machines Peabody got. From the bottom to the very tipy top Frank has been involved in every aspect and he should be very proud of what he has accomplished. I have seen him all over both machines non-stop and full force to get these machines up and running.

He is a dedicated and hardworking man and he has always given 100% in what he does not only in this endeavor but whatever is asked of him.

I think Paul is an all-around hard worker. He always seems to be right in the middle of the job at hand. Whether it is loading a truck, working on the telecom projects or lending a hand to a co-worker. Paul is polite and always treats everyone with respect.

I like working with Paul. He is easy to discuss ideas with and he is a good Team Player, He does a great job making molds for the telecom department. In my experience, he pays close attention to detail. Paul is an individual you want as part of your team. I know if a request is made of him that he will get it done and it will be done satisfactory.

Whenever I look out onto the warehouse floor I can always spot Paul hard at work. He puts his heart and soul into whatever project he is working on. Presenting his very best work which is not only a reflection of the company but a reflection of who he is, what he has helped to create and the integrity of him. He is always willing to lend a hand and he is polite and courteous as well!

Paul is a go to employee. He looks for things to do. He focuses on what his jobs are for the day and completes each task. He notices things that need to be fixed. If he sees me in the warehouse he always asks if there is something he can help me with. Very polite man. He will work in any department and does what is asked of him. This is a man that takes pride in his work. He smiles all day hot or cold and he encourages others (team mates, new-hires, temps) etc.

There are many deserving people here at Peabody, but Cathy stood out in May for her selfless commitment to getting done what was needed. With no receptionist/billing clerk, Cathy picked up the slack, worked long hours and just did whatever she could do to make it happen. Cathy keeps vendors paid, works with people on PO’s , Billing, Pays Bills, goes to the bank and makes deposits, anything and everything. She is an unsung hero often underappreciated, but a great asset for Peabody!

I AM NOMINATING Cathy this month because she has gone above and beyond in her job duties. Not only does she always try to help me with purchases I need to make – to see that I can make them but this month, in particular she has had to take on the extra duties of the front desk because front desk person left. It takes an extraordinary person to handle the many activities that go on not only at her desk but the front desk. To deal with all the responsibilities. To maintain workflow and still keep their wits about them, Kudos to Cathy for going the extra mile to keep Peabody Engineering running!!!

Her job requires full attention and she is filling in as a receptionist and does it with a smile. The duties at both positions is fast and requires attention and she handles it with ease or at least makes it look that way.

I am nominating Edgar for GEM of the month to recognize him for his hard work in prepping the tanks for shipping. Edgar is always eager to go out of his way to assist his teammates where needed. Edgar is always friendly, positive and respectful, for personal acknowledges to opening doors and carrying in box for me. Not only is Edgar a hard worker at Peabody I admire him for his dedication to achieve his personal goals by attending Norco College. With the above characteristics, I believe Edgar represents Peabody as a positive role model.

Dorie always goes above and beyond to make her customers happy. She takes every call no matter how many she gets in a row. Even when I have difficult questions I know I can always ask her to help me. She is someone who makes sure the job is complete from start to finish. Dorie always makes sure her customer is getting the best price for their order. She enters orders all day making our customers happy from the time she clocks in to the time she clocks out. She is definitely a big team player and asset to Peabody.

Dorie consistently handles every customer call that filters through to her desk professionally and without hesitation. No matter the time of day or day of the week. She continually multi tasks to try to keep stock supplies for her orders in check. I never hear her complain or create distress in her dept. when orders pile up. She continues to amaze me that she stays positive towards me even if I can’t get her what she needs right away. She makes my job less stressful with her showing me grace in my position.
